the pursuit of favorites: jose oshea's

the pursuit of mexican food is of most importance considering it is the best kind of food ever! i know it is going to be a super difficult one to find seeing that less hispanics move to colorado compared to texas. we plan on trying every place we possibly can and hopefully we will find one that we can crave just as much as ones in texas or norman!

we decided to try this place because of how busy it always is. i know that isnt something to really base a decision on, especially in suburbiaville, but we had to start somewhere. overall, it was acceptable, and actually better than we were expecting. not a place we would go regularly, but not horrible.

one thing that is always good to find is a delicious margarita. i am always nervous to try margs at new places because the outcome can be very scary and very nasty due to sweetness. but the ones here did not let me down! they were not too sweet and you could actually taste the tequila. i wouldnt want it any other way! however, they could have been colder.

unfortunately the queso was not impressive in any way. in fact, if i ever find myself there again i probably wouldnt order the queso. it did come with delicious flaky chips though!

we each tried a version of a chile relleno called a gringo relleno. the difference with the gringo part is that they are fried. both of us enjoyed them. i could have used a different type of sauce on it like ranchero or sour cream, but those are my favorites and i will always choose them over a red type sauce.

overall it was pretty good considering it isnt the south, but the search will go on!

love. and happy eating!
